Worms
Worms are parasites common in rural, tropical areas.
They can be present on unwashed vegetables or in undercooked
meat and you can pick them up through your skin by walking in
bare feet. Infestations may not show up for some time, and although
they are generally not serious, if left untreated they can cause
severe health problems.
A stool test is necessary to pinpoint the problem and medication
is often available over the counter.
